TO THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF ONTARIO:
WHEREAS prescription medications are a part of health care, and people shouldn't have to empty their wallets
or rack up credit card bills to get the medicines they need;
WHEREAS over 2.2 million Ontarians don't have any prescription drug coverage and one in four Ontarians don't
take their medications as prescribed because they cannot afford the cost;
WHEREAS taking medications as prescribed can save lives and help people live better, and
WHEREAS Canada urgently needs universal and comprehensive national Pharmacare.
We, the undersigned, petition the Legislative Assembly of Ontario to support a universal provincial
Pharmacare plan for all Ontarians.
