Petition to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario:
WHEREAS 1 in 5 adults experience mental health challenges each year, and
WHEREAS funding for mental health services remains inadequate and emergency services for mental health are still lacking in many
areas in Ontario, and
WHEREAS the current waitlists for public services are too long, and
WHEREAS the current funding is insufficient to meet the growing demand and more resources are necessary to reduce waitlists,
improve access, and ensure mental health is treated with the urgency and importance it deserves.
THEREFORE WE, the undersigned petition the Legislative Assembly of Ontario as follows: to prioritize mental health as a core part of
healthcare by investing in the much needed services and professionals to ensure accessible and timely care for all Ontarians.
